New NDIS participants: you will need to enrol in our NDIS course which includes weekly consults to ensure you receive the support you need for best results. It’s usually 3 month course but we can arrange for a 6 week version to begin with.
Existing NDIS participants: if you’ve participated with us before, you can enrol in a 6 week program at the rates below.

What age are the programs suitable for?
These programs are typically suitable from Prep (pre primary) to adults. Suitability will depend on skill level. If you are unsure, please book a free professional consult.
For children aged 3 – 5, you may like to consider EF Kids executive function training, created with Harvard and UC Berkeley neuroscientists – contact us for more details.

Are these programs backed by research?
This is a really important question to ask when you’re deciding on a program to use. We only use programs that are backed by research – check out more on the research page.
Is there a guarantee?
As health and education professionals, we adhere by relevant advertising standards which state we can’t guarantee a certain result (every brain is different!) What we do guarantee is to provide you with awesome, research-backed exercises and professional support to help you progress through the programs. We’re committed to helping you improve your skills and are always here to help throughout your program.

Can I use my NDIS funding?
As these programs are delivered by health and education professionals, we can provide NDIS-friendly billing for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
If you’re new to our programs you will need to enrol in our NDIS course which includes weekly consults to ensure you receive the support you need for optimal results. It’s usually a 3 month course but we can arrange for a 6 week version if needed.
When does the course begin and end?
Your course will begin on your first training day and end 6 weeks later (Cogmed may run longer depending on your chosen protocol). Sonic Learning’s team will monitor and adjust your program during this time as needed and you won’t run out of exercises to do.
How long will I need to complete the program?
Every individual is different and the programs are adaptive to individual needs, so the time spent on each program will also vary. As a guide, each Fast ForWord and Reading Boost program usually takes 6 – 8 weeks to complete and we recommended completing at least 2 programs.
Is there a discount for multiple family members?
We offer a 10% discount when you enrol 2 family members at once and a 15% discount when you enrol 3 family members at once. If you’re enrolling them in the same program you can access the discount online. For multiple enrolments across different programs, book a consult so we can set this up for you.
Can I purchase additional training time?
Yes, at the end of the initial 6 week cognitive or reading course you may purchase additional training time in monthly blocks, with discounts for purchases of 2 and 3 month extensions.
What technology do I need?
Fast ForWord and Cogmed programs can be used on most Windows and Mac computers through your internet browser (we recommend Google Chrome browser), as well as on iPad with iOS 11.3 or later. Headphones are recommended to help you concentrate (we recommend stereo headphones that cover the whole ear, such as these ones from Altronics). Parents monitoring their children should use a headphone double adaptor so they can also hear the sound.
Android devices can be used for Cogmed but are not compatible with Fast ForWord programs.
