Dyslexia programs to improve reading, spelling and writing

Our proven online reading programs use a 3 step method to build the underlying skills that support reading, spelling and writing development and then target fluency and comprehension.

Most reading programs provide more and more reading practice or work on phonics skills without first building the underlying skills that support reading and phonics development. This is like building the roof of a house without first building the supporting walls.

The Sonic Learning 3 step reading program is different.

Reading program step 1

Build the foundations of reading – memory, attention, processing and sequencing .

Reading program step 2WALLS
Explore word meanings, build sentences and paragraphs, work on punctuation, spelling and much more.

Reading program step 3ROOF
Build reading fluency with guided reading using real books.

It this program a miracle cure for Dyslexia?

No program is a miracle cure for Dyslexia and any program claiming this is most likely not based in research. Dyslexia is a complex learning disorder and each child has different strengths and weaknesses. However, research shows that the brain is changeable – it can reorganise itself with the right kind of practise. The programs we use have been proven to change the way the brain is organised for reading. This is not a replacement for high quality reading instruction, which every student should be receiving at school.
